Did you know that in general we spend 80% of our time and energy on things we don’t like? Pretty amazing right?
Try out our Joy Matrix to map your daily activities and encounters and discover where you are spending your valuable time and energy.
This is how it works:
On the horizontal axis you can map the things that bring you joy, those things / events/ people that leave a smile on your face on the left, and the things that drain you, that don’t bring you joy on the right. And on the Vertical axis you can see at the top of the line Flexible; things / relationships that can easily change. All the way down you can map those things that are here to stay. That are not changeable. For example; you are born in the USA, your skincolor, or those things you think you can’t change or you don’t want to change.
You see the different boxes? Map your activities, relationships, encounters. Do it for a couple of days (a week ideally) and you will get very valuable insights!
In our Joy Matrix you can find what to do with it: things you can not change and don’t bring you joy: Accept it! Often this is the ‘ box’ where we spend most of our energy. And we forget about the boxes on the left.
