Summer: Rest, Reflection, Reset
Summer time is the perfect time for our so-called 3 R’s
Rest: your body and your mind need time to unwind, to rest and to tank new energy. Even if you are not going on a holiday, commit to more rest during the Summer time. Going (back) to a healthy sleep routine, slow down your walking (literally!) and taking a few more (short) breaks each day. Feel the direct effect on your body and mind!
By the way a Digital Detox helps a lot in getting some rest! More about that later this week…..
Reflection: Reflection when you are running around or experiencing (high) levels of stress is not very useful (if even possible). So when you are slowing down, it is the perfect time to reflect. How are things going? How are you feeling? Are you still ‘ on track’ with your goals and intentions?
Reflection doesn’t come automatically. You need to plan it. Commit to at least half a day of reflection this coming months.
Reset: this is when you set new intentions. And when you determine the actions that come with that. In daily busy life we tend to focus on action right away. WAIT! You first need Rest and Reflection before you can start planning and setting new actions.
And of course it is all about building this into your daily routines after the holidays. In September we will focus on building long lasting routines so stay tuned!
